The "comedy" show ?

I am not a big fan of comedy channels using f-word in their very name (the likes of AIB), other than the fact that its a bit too much of desperation at being humorous, I think if you cant avoid the word even in your name, maybe you should try something else.
To my surprise, about a month ago I came across a video by aib which I hope would have made a lot of people think. It was about how we were not treating the ladies in our country well and aib team and some other stars spoke about how sorry they were about this condition of ladies and that they could do almost nothing about it.
Recently aib came up with a show called  "roast " where they tried their kind of comedy but now to a different level. The team and everyone present on the podium made a lavish usage of all the possible abusive words like MC,BC, BDK etc. We all know exactly what these abuses mean and which gender these are directed at. All such "humor" were cheered with thunderous applause by the "elite" class of audience who are first to come up as custodians of society and especially of females, who are the first to question govt and administration about the women related causes , who are first to write open letters and make movies,short-films etc .Of course everyone has right to and it is the right thing to question the authorities and so on, but does it not mean that we as question seekers also have the duty or responsibility to walk-the-talk?  How can one make a standing ovation to a guy calling other a Mo***r-*****r ?Does it not question our right to judge the loafer standing besides the pan-shop staring the ladies, passing vulgar remarks or using abusive language to a by-stander?
When someone claps at Arjun Kapoor saying "Bhabhi !you want some fanny?"does it not unveil theeir hypocrisy for every other time they make or like a "I am sorry ladies" video? All the abuses were cheered with thunderous applause by the likes of Deepika , remember Deepika and TOI ?
More shockingly, the video it is being enjoyed by males and females alike on social media.
After this, do we really have the right to point fingers at others without introspecting ?

  1. Vichar to sahi hai! I heard it cost 4000 INR for an entry ticket to listen to all these galiyans. I also agree to the fact that it kind of shows double standards of those who are questioning the media at one end about others being abusive in their acts!
I managed to see the video with all these hypes and found that the disclaimer was loud and clear that- if you dont subscribe to such vulgarism (read filthy as per that KJ gay), then dont indulge in it. After all, its a free country to do even B-grade movies. So, why watch and do moral policing about some passionate folks who like BC, MC and MF, even in front of their moms! Aren't they free to air what they say. Its not a national television or a prime time show.
I think AIB has got all it wanted, the best hit from youtube and a lot of money from Google-you tube for being watched by hiring the gays and their associates for a show!!

The question is would you have gone into such a show, if you were offered a free ticket? If the answer is a "honest NO," then you qualify for anything you say about Arjun Kapoor or Ranveer Singh.
btw I hate that guy Ranveer Singh, esp. when he laughs, he really looks like a ch****a, I think he thinks or claims himself to be a womaniser, but probably in reality he is a henpecked guy, hobnobs around Deepika - my feelings/observations are entirely mine though.

  2. Given the overwhelming response to the "freedom of expression" and as you said " watch if you want, its not on TV channel" , I tend to agree to the point, ofcourse I can choose to not watch a certain but the repercussions of this are much bigger than this. Its only through these channels/media that what most people don't like are percolating into the mainstream and of course that is worth consideration because that is not happening even in places which are considered benchmark by likes of AIB.

Here's an example, A very famous media house used to put star in the word "expletive" till some time ago. Today the same media used the word ch*d without any star. Ofcourse this might matter "now", but soon it will.
